Nigerian gospel singer, Toluwanisings, has sparked concern among colleagues and fans following reports of his death, with comedian Woli Agba and singer Boyebest expressing hope for a miracle.
The development gained attention on Wednesday after the Convener of the Coalition of Public Interests Lawyers and Advocates, Pelumi Olajengbesi, reacted to reports of the singer’s death in a post on Instagram.
Olajengbesi, who shared a photograph of the singer, expressed concern over the increasing reports of young Nigerians dying and appealed to God for mercy.
He wrote, “My God! What a life! No, Lord! We plead for Your mercy upon Toluwanisings.
“I am deeply troubled by the deaths of young men and women. This is not God’s plan for us.”
Reacting to the development, Woli Agba urged the public not to give up hope, saying prayers were still ongoing for a miracle.
He wrote on his social media page, “Please hold on. Please don’t conclude. We are trusting God. Please.”
Similarly, singer Boyebest expressed faith in the possibility of a divine intervention, responding to Woli Agba’s appeal in the comment section.
He wrote, “Yes yes yes. Yeah I have faith in God. I do. God you’ll do this one.”
The reactions came about two hours after rumours about the singer’s reported death began circulating on social media.
However, the circumstances surrounding the reports had not been disclosed as of the time of filing this report.
