“A dearly loved husband, family member, and gospel minister.

“Please keep his wife, family, and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time.”

The family added that details of the funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.

The singer’s death has triggered an outpouring of grief among fans, colleagues and other members of the gospel music community, with many taking to social media to express their sorrow.

The Convener of the Coalition of Public Interest Lawyers and Advocates, Pelumi Olajengbesi, expressed distress over the development in a post on Instagram, calling for God’s mercy amid what he described as the troubling loss of young people.

Sharing a photograph of the deceased, Olajengbesi wrote, “My God! What a life! No, Lord! We plead for Your mercy upon Toluwanisings.

“I am deeply troubled by the deaths of young men and women. This is not God’s plan for us.

“We say no to untimely death.”

An X user, Ennybets, also recounted witnessing the singer’s arrival at a hospital on Wednesday, describing the emotional reaction of those who accompanied him.

According to him, he had taken his wife to the hospital for antenatal care when a vehicle arrived with the gospel singer.

He wrote, “Brought my wife to the hospital for antenatal, and some car rushed in here bringing a popular gospel man.

“Come and see how BBO and the rest are crying so bad, I pray he survives this though.”

In a subsequent post, Ennybets expressed sadness over the singer’s death, saying he witnessed members of his band crying at the hospital.

He said, “I cried about this man’s passing. The fact that I was seeing over 10 grown men who are his band members, crying heavily in front of me is giving me trauma.”

Also reacting, gospel artiste Mega99 described the late singer as a rare talent, lamenting the loss of his distinctive voice.

“A rare gem with a unique voice is gone. This life,” he wrote.

As of the time of filing this report, the cause of Toluwanisings’ death had not been disclosed.

The family said further information about his burial would be communicated in due course.
