In a significant boost to Nigeria’s aviation sector, Dassault Aviation, a global leader in aerospace innovation, has unveiled plans to establish a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Gateway Agro-Cargo International Airport in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State.
The announcement came during a courtesy visit to Governor Dapo Abiodun by Dassault Aviation’s senior executives, Florent Venturini, Sales Director, and Isabelle Villet, Sales Manager.
Discussions centered on strategic plans for the facility, which is expected to enhance the airport’s operational capabilities and cater to the broader West African market.
Governor Abiodun described the proposed MRO as a “landmark development that further cements Ogun State’s position as a premier investment destination.”
He mentioned the increasing attractiveness of the Gateway Airport and its surrounding Aerotropolis, emphasizing that the initiative aligns with his administration’s vision of fostering a globally competitive business environment.
