As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark International Workers’ Day, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has commended the dedication and resilience of workers in the state and across the country, describing them as the “driving force behind Nigeria’s progress.”
In a message commemorating the annual event, Governor Abiodun praised the contributions of workers in both the civil service and private sector, stating that their efforts form the backbone of the state’s development.
“Today, I salute the hardworking men and women of Ogun State and across Nigeria as we mark International Workers’ Day,” he said. “Your dedication, resilience, and contributions remain the driving force behind our progress.”
Governor Abiodun reiterated his administration’s commitment to the welfare of workers, noting that efforts would continue to ensure the prompt payment of salaries and pensions. He also stressed his resolve to provide an enabling environment for job opportunities and business growth in the state.
“Our administration remains committed to improving your welfare, ensuring prompt payment of salaries and pensions, and creating an enabling environment for jobs and business growth,” the governor assured.
Calling for unity among the workforce, Abiodun urged workers to remain focused on excellence and service delivery.
