President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Muhammad Babangida, son of former military President Ibrahim Babangida, as the new chairman of the revamped Bank of Agriculture.
The appointment, announced on Thursday, in the statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, comes alongside the naming of eight others into key positions across various federal agencies, signalling a fresh wave of leadership changes in strategic government parastatals.
Babangida, 53, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Public Relations and Business Communication from the European University in Montreux, Switzerland. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Executive Program on Corporate Governance, which he completed in 2002.
