The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Supervision and Leadership, Dr. Samson Folorunso Akinya, has been appointed as the Senior Special Adviser on Leadership Strategies to the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation.
The investiture ceremony was held at the Institute’s corporate head office in Lagos, where the Foundation’s president, Asiwaju Dapo Wahab formally conferred the role on Dr. Akinya.
Dr. Akinya, who has spent over two decades in institutional management, leadership training, and supervisory development, is expected to play a vital role in shaping and guiding leadership programs of the Foundation, a non-governmental organization committed to youth development, community empowerment, and social impact.
Speaking at the event, Asiwaju Wahab described Dr. Akinya as “a seasoned leadership expert whose values align with the Foundation’s goals.”
“Dr. Akinya’s appointment is not just honorary,” Wahab said. “It is a call to deepen our leadership strategies and drive more meaningful engagement across the communities we serve. His visionary leadership and experience in strategic governance will help position us to tackle some of the social challenges we are addressing.”
In his new role, Dr. Akinya is expected to develop sustainable leadership blueprints, drive institutional collaboration, and enhance the Foundation’s campaign on drug abuse prevention, youth inclusion, and ethical governance.
