The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has cautioned Nigerians to beware of fraudsters who are exploiting desperate job seekers with fake recruitment promises.

The Corps disclosed that these scammers go as far as issuing counterfeit call-up letters to training schools and the FRSC Academy to deceive innocent applicants.

In a statement released on Monday by the Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Olusegun Ogungbemide, the FRSC headquarters in Abuja explained that the activities of these fraudsters have become a growing concern as they continue to extort unsuspecting members of the public under the guise of facilitating employment into the Corps.

According to the statement, the Corps emphasized that its recruitment exercises remain transparent, merit-based, and strictly announced through national newspapers, television stations, and official FRSC platforms.

At no point, it noted, did the Corps authorize its personnel or representatives to solicit money or any form of gratification in exchange for employment.

The FRSC therefore urged the public to disregard such offers and report perpetrators to the nearest FRSC Command, any law enforcement agency, or through the Corps’ official communication channels.

Ogungbemide further reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to integrity, fairness, and transparency in all recruitment processes, advising Nigerians to remain vigilant and always verify information via its official website, www.frsc.gov.ng, and verified social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube.
