The Ogun State Police Command has launched a search for a 38-year-old female officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who were declared missing after leaving their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
According to a police statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Omolola Odutola, the missing persons’ case was reported at the Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters on Tuesday, November 5, 2025, by another FRSC officer serving in Abeokuta, accompanied by members of the victims’ family.
Odutola stated that all efforts to contact the officer since her disappearance had proven unsuccessful, prompting the command to open an urgent investigation.
She said, “The Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, Ph.D., has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation to ascertain the whereabouts of SRC Funmilayo Lasisi and her daughter. We are doing everything possible to ensure their safe return.”
The police spokesperson appealed to members of the public to assist with any useful information that could lead to locating the missing mother and child.
“Anyone with credible information about their location should kindly contact the nearest police station or reach us through the command’s emergency numbers: 0800 000 9111, 0915 957 8888, or +234 803 860 9898. All information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality,” Odutola added.
The FRSC officer and her daughter were said to have left home on Sunday morning and never returned, raising concern among colleagues and relatives.
