The Ogun State Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) is set to host its 20th Convention alongside the 25th Inauguration Ceremony of its new executive committee on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
The event will take place at the Owu Palace in Oke Ago Owu, Abeokuta, and is expected to draw writers, literary enthusiasts, and cultural stakeholders from across the South-West.
The ceremony, scheduled to run from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, will witness the formal transition of leadership within the chapter. Outgoing Chairman, Dr. Chris Omotosho, who also serves as President of the South West Authors’ Forum, will hand over the mantle of leadership to Chief Abiodun Lasile, DL, MnbR, Orunto Baalufe of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta.
Presiding over the event will be the Royal Father of the Day, Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, Otileta VII, Oluwo of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta. Distinguished personalities from the literary and cultural sectors are also expected to grace the occasion.
The convention, themed “Nurturing Creativity Through Literature”, underscores ANA Ogun State’s dedication to promoting literary excellence and providing a platform for writers to showcase their talents.
