Abuja – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to embark on a three-state visit this weekend, beginning Saturday, ahead of the upcoming end-of-year holidays.
According to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the presidential tour will start in Borno State, where Tinubu is scheduled to commission several projects executed jointly by the state government under Governor Babagana Zulum and the Federal Government.
The visit will also include attending the wedding of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State Governor and Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Maiduguri, the President will travel to Bauchi State to offer condolences to the government and family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late prominent Muslim cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who passed away on November 27.
Following the Bauchi visit, Tinubu will proceed to Lagos State, where he will spend the holiday season. In Lagos, the President is expected to be the guest of honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27 at Tafawa Balewa Square.
The festival will celebrate notable figures, including Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
