OSSIEC Issues Certificates of Return to Elected Chairmen in Osun

The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) has presented Certificates of Return to elected local government chairmen following the recently concluded election held on Saturday, February 22, 2025.

Chairman of the commission, Barrister Hashim Abioye, handed over the certificates to the newly elected officials on Sunday, congratulating them on their victory.

He urged them to serve with integrity and uphold democratic values in their leadership roles.

In a statement issued by the commission’s Information Officer, Abioye stated, “The electoral process was conducted in accordance with democratic principles, and we congratulate all winners. We encourage them to be good ambassadors of democracy, both in their conduct and service to the people.”

OSSIEC had earlier announced that candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) emerged victorious in all 332 councillorship and 30 local government chairmanship seats in the state.
