Abeokuta – Governor Dapo Abiodun on Sunday met with top security officials in Ogun State to assess the overall security situation and review measures for the protection of lives and property as the new year begins.
According to the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Ojo Emmanuel, the meeting focused on intelligence gathering, inter-agency collaboration, and strategies to ensure swift response to emerging security threats.
In a post on X, Abiodun said, “As we begin a new year, we met with security chiefs in Ogun State to assess the overall security situation and review issues relating to the safety of lives and property across our state.”
“The meeting allowed us to receive detailed briefings on current realities, emerging concerns, and ongoing efforts by the various security agencies.”
He added that they discussed the need to strengthen intelligence gathering, improve inter-agency collaboration, and ensure prompt response to any security threat.
“Our focus remains on sustaining peace, preventing crime, and staying ahead of any challenges that may affect our people and communities,” the governor said.
Abiodun reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to security, noting, “We reaffirmed our commitment to making security a top priority of our administration.
“We will continue to support our security agencies and work closely with them to ensure that Ogun State remains safe, stable, and conducive for living, working, and investment under our administration.”
