Social media comedian, Carter Efe, defeated street-hop artiste, Portable, to emerge the new celebrity boxing champion at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event held at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday night.
Efe outclassed Portable across three rounds, with all three judges scoring the bout 30-27 in his favour, ending the singer’s unbeaten run and stripping him of his status as celebrity boxing king.
Portable, who had previously beaten Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington to claim two belts, had entered the bout with confidence, vowing to secure a third title.
“I will use you to collect my third belt. Charles Okocha was bigger than you, Speed Darlington was bigger than you, and I beat them. I will beat you now,” Portable had said before the fight.
Efe, however, dismissed the threat, replying, “One punch and you fall.”
In the opening round, Portable came out aggressively, throwing wild punches, but Efe remained composed, landing calculated uppercuts and body shots.
The second round followed a similar pattern, as Portable continued his erratic attacks, while Efe improved his accuracy with clean combinations.
By the third round, Efe had taken full control, consistently finding his target until the final bell.
The victory confirmed Efe as the new face of celebrity boxing, ending Portable’s dominance in the ring.
