President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reversed recent leadership changes at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), restoring Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as Director-General of the station and Mr. Ayo Adewuyi as Executive Director of News.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President directed that both officials return to their posts to complete their tenures.

Dembos, who was first appointed DG in October 2023, will now continue in office until the expiration of his three-year tenure. Similarly, Adewuyi, who was named Executive Director of News in 2024, is expected to serve until 2027.

The new directive sets aside earlier announcements of a fresh leadership team, which included a new director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises.
