Fresh FM Nigeria has confirmed a devastating fire outbreak at its Head Office in Challenge, Ibadan, which affected its studios and several office spaces. The incident occurred on the evening of August 15, 2025.
According to an official statement released by Samson Akindele, Group Head of Corporate Affairs at Fresh FM Nigeria and Yinka Ayefele Limited, the blaze destroyed the studios of Fresh 105.9 and Blast 98.3, as well as nearby offices including the newsroom, transmitter and server room, and several pieces of equipment.
“All efforts to fight the fire with our in-house extinguishers were unsuccessful due to the strength of the inferno.”
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and the full extent of the damage is still being assessed,” the statement read.
The release also expressed gratitude to the residents and passersby who assisted during the emergency, as well as the officials of the Oyo State Fire Service for their response.
