The distribution exercise covered three major health centres. The first visit was to the Infectious Disease Centre, Olodo, where the State Epidemiologist, Dr Iyabo Kareem, and the Head of Laboratory, Mr Bello, received the team led by Solomon Adewole, the Rolan Foundation Ibadan Branch Coordinator.

Dr Kareem described the donation of four hundred isolation gowns as timely and vital to the work of health workers who manage infectious diseases every day.

She expressed appreciation on behalf of the Commissioner for Health, relevant stakeholders, and the Oyo State Government.

At Adeoyo Maternity Teaching Hospital, the Chief Hospital Administrator, Mrs Muraina, welcomed the Foundation’s delegation.

She thanked the team for the donation of four hundred isolation gowns to the Tuberculosis, Leprosy and HIV units.

She noted that the gesture will improve the safety and capacity of the hospital’s maternal and neonatal care services.

The final stop was the Nigerian Medical Association Secretariat in Ibadan, where the General Secretary, Dr Tobi Bright, stood in for the NMA Chairman.

He received two hundred isolation gowns and praised both Rolan Foundation and CMMB for supporting doctors who work under high-risk conditions.

He said the items will help reduce occupational hazards for medical personnel across the state.

The Assistant National Coordinator of the Foundation, Mrs Adenike Sanusi, explained that supporting healthcare workers remains central to its mission of improving community well-being.

She expressed gratitude to CMMB for its unwavering collaboration and reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening public health systems and protecting those on the frontline.

Rolan Foundation said the distribution demonstrates the impact of effective partnerships in addressing healthcare gaps.

It added that the isolation gowns will boost infection prevention protocols and reinforce the resilience of medical teams in Oyo State.

Rolan Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established with a mandate to create a realistic, effective, and impactful difference in the lives of vulnerable and less-privileged persons.

Our goal is to implement sustainable, transformative interventions that address critical challenges such as illiteracy, hunger, and the suicide rate in Nigerian communities.
