A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Tunde Lemo, has extended warm greetings to Muslim and Christian faithful as the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent commence simultaneously.
Lemo, an APC governorship aspirant from Ogun Central, described the coincidence of both fasting periods as a rare moment of spiritual alignment and national reflection.
He urged adherents of both faiths to embrace the season with renewed commitment to prayer, sacrifice, and compassion in line with scriptural teachings.
The renowned economist called for religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence, noting that the shared period of fasting presents an opportunity to strengthen unity across communities in Ogun State and beyond.
According to him, Ramadan and Lent are seasons that encourage deep reflection, self discipline, and love for one another.
“Ramadan and Lenten seasons are time of deep reflection, sacrifice, and unity,” Lemo affirmed.
He reaffirmed his commitment to identifying with Muslim and Christian communities throughout the fasting period, pledging to continue championing peace, unity, and communal harmony.
He expressed hope that the season would be spiritually rewarding and inspire citizens to work towards a more prosperous and stable nation.
Lemo also encouraged the faithful to use the period to pray for the peace and tranquility of the country, while remaining steadfast in supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
