The Ward Development Committee, WDC, Ogun State Council has congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun and the people of the state on the 50th anniversary of the creation of Ogun State, describing the golden jubilee as a historic milestone that reflects resilience, progress, and purposeful leadership.
The congratulatory message, signed by the State Chairman of the Ward Development Committee, Ogun State Council, Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, JP, noted that the celebration marks five decades of growth built on hope, rich cultural heritage, and a strong commitment to sound health and human development.
The council said Ogun State has continued to stand tall as a beacon of innovation, peace, and grassroots driven development, stressing that the people remain the state’s greatest strength.
“As a grassroots institution, the WDC proudly aligns with the vision of an Ogun State where communities are empowered, health systems are strengthened, and citizens actively participate in governance and development,” the statement read.
The WDC commended the Abiodun administration for its commitment to people centered policies, particularly in healthcare delivery, community engagement, and sustainable development across the state.
The council expressed optimism that the years ahead would usher in greater unity, prosperity, good governance, and improved wellbeing for all residents, while reaffirming its resolve to support initiatives that promote inclusive governance at the grassroots.
It prayed that the legacy of hope, culture, and sound health would continue to flourish across every ward, community, and local government area of the Gateway State.
