The Peoples Democratic Party has fixed Wednesday December 10 for the formal presentation of the Certificate of Return to its Ekiti State governorship candidate, Dr Oluwole Oluyede.
The ceremony will take place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja at 2 pm. The announcement was issued on Monday by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Enemobong.
According to the party, the ceremony follows the completion of its primary election process and the ratification by the appeal panel. In the words of the statement, “Following the successful conduct of the Ekiti State Gubernatorial Primary Election of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party and the Appeal Panel ratification, the National Working Committee hereby schedules the Presentation of Certificate of Return to our Candidate, Dr Oluwole Olyede, for the June 20, 2026 Governorship Election in Ekiti State, as follows: Date; Wednesday, December 10, 2025.”
Leaders of the party, members of the National Executive Committee, PDP governors, serving and former members of the Board of Trustees, current and past lawmakers and other stakeholders have been invited to witness the presentation.
The PDP said the event is part of its wider effort to strengthen internal unity ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State.
Oluyede, a medical expert, emerged as the party’s candidate after winning the November primary with 279 votes. He defeated Funso Ayeni who scored 239 votes and Funmilayo Ogun who had 17 votes.
