Ogbomoso, Oyo State – The lifeless body of a 27-year-old man, identified as Alagbe Gbemisoye, was recovered from a deep well in the Ire-Akari area of Adeniran, Ogbomoso.
The Oyo State Fire Service retrieved the body after passersby alerted them to the incident. The circumstances that led to the fall remain unclear.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Fire Reforms and Chairman of the Fire Services, Moroof Akinwande, confirmed the recovery.
He stated, “Fire personnel led by CFM Oladejo promptly deployed to the scene. On arrival, it was discovered that a man of about 27 years old, named Alagbe Gbemisoye, had fallen into a deep well. His body was recovered and handed over to the DPO, Owode Police Station.”
Akinwande urged members of the public to exercise caution in their daily activities and stressed the importance of having fire extinguishers at home to prevent accidents and fire-related incidents.
