The Lead Pastor of Fire in My Bones Ministries (Home of Glory), Pastor Olamide Perez, has cautioned religious leaders against accepting financial contributions from individuals they cannot publicly associate with.

He made the statement on Thursday while sharing kingdom advancement tips on his official social media platforms.

He said, “Don’t take an offering from a man you can’t identify with publicly. If you reject their person, also reject their offerings”.

Pastor Perez’s statement comes amid growing concerns over the types of financial contributions some religious leaders accept, including tithes, offerings, first fruits, seed sowing, thanksgiving donations, and special pledges.

There have been debates over whether churches should scrutinize the sources of wealth of donors, as some clerics publicly distance themselves from individuals with questionable backgrounds while privately accepting their financial support.

In recent years, religious leaders have been criticized for collecting money from politicians, business tycoons, and individuals whose financial dealings are under scrutiny, despite preaching against corruption, fraud, and other unethical practices.
