Over 10,000 residents of Ogun West Senatorial District are set to benefit from a four-day free health outreach sponsored by Senator Solomon Adeola.

The initiative, which runs from Tuesday, March 11, to Friday, March 14, 2025, will provide essential medical services across the five local government areas of the district.

The outreach will be held simultaneously at four designated venues in each of the five LGAs—Yewa South, Yewa North, Ado-Odo Ota, Ipokia, and Imeko Afon—ensuring wide coverage and accessibility for constituents.

Speaking on the initiative, Senator Adeola emphasized the importance of healthcare as a fundamental aspect of governance. “This health outreach programme is targeted at reaching the highest number of citizens with healthcare as another dividend of democracy beyond infrastructure and empowerment,” he stated.

The programme will offer free medical consultations, blood pressure screening, malaria treatment, eye screenings with free eyeglasses, health talks, and counseling. In addition, free medications will be provided for ailments such as anemia, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, and chronic pain, with supplies sufficient for six months.

Senator Adeola noted that while he has facilitated health infrastructure projects, including primary healthcare centers (PHCs), intensive care units (ICUs), and ambulance services, direct medical interventions like this outreach remain crucial.

“Good health is of critical importance to enjoy other dividends of democracy. I have facilitated health infrastructure, but all these can only be accessed with knowledge and bringing services closer to constituents,” he explained.

The senator urged residents of Ogun West to take advantage of the initiative, assuring them of quality medical attention.

The health programme is expected to significantly improve healthcare access for thousands of residents across the senatorial district.
