More than 200 members of the Area Community High School Old Students Association (ACHSOSA), Owode-Yewa, and residents of the community and its environs have benefited from a free medical outreach organised by Ayinke Charity Foundation in collaboration with the association.

The development was contained in a statement signed by the Global Public Relations Officer and Media Assistant of ACHSOSA, Olawale Sopade, on behalf of the Global President, Moruf Yusuf (Ojogbon), following the outreach held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Area Community Hall, Owode, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The humanitarian programme provided beneficiaries with a range of free medical services, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, body mass index and weight assessment, eye screening, visual acuity tests and general physical examinations.

Participants also received health counselling on hypertension, diabetes and preventive healthcare, while those requiring further attention were given medical advice based on the outcome of their examinations and appropriate prescriptions.

Speaking during the programme, the Chief Executive Officer of Ayinke Charity Foundation, Mrs Omotunde Omoniyi-Alake, said the initiative was aimed at reducing the healthcare challenges faced by people in underserved communities.

“Our mission is to bridge the healthcare gap in underserved communities. In partnership with ACHSOSA Owode-Yewa, we are committed to ensuring that no one is denied access to basic healthcare because of financial constraints,” she said.

Also speaking, the Global President of ACHSOSA, Moruf Yusuf (Ojogbon), expressed appreciation to Ayinke Charity Foundation for partnering with the association to provide medical assistance to members and residents of the community.

Yusuf said, “Today, over 200 of our members and community people have received quality medical care for free. This partnership shows what we can achieve when we work together for the good of our people. We say a big thank you to Ayinke Charity Foundation.”

The organisers said the outreach was supported by qualified medical personnel and volunteers who attended to beneficiaries throughout the programme.

The executives of ACHSOSA also commended the medical team, volunteers and donors for their contributions towards the success of the initiative, while appreciating the convener for providing a reception after the programme in honour of her late mother.

The programme ended with a call for more corporate organisations, philanthropists and well-meaning individuals to partner with ACHSOSA on initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and development of residents in the community.

In addition to the free medical services, participants also received food packages before returning home.
