Construction has officially commenced on the Rounda–Olorunda–Imeko Road, a significant infrastructure project aimed at improving connectivity between Ogun West Senatorial District and Abeokuta in Ogun Central.
According to a release issued on Tuesday by Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), contractors have mobilized to site and excavation work is already underway, signaling the formal commencement of the road construction.
The project is in fulfillment of the pledge made by Senator Adeola during an empowerment programme held in Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area, three weeks ago.
Residents and local leaders have expressed appreciation for the prompt action, describing the road as crucial to improving access to remote areas, enhancing trade, and easing transportation.
“This is more than just a road. It is a symbol of trust and leadership,” said a youth leader from Olorunda. “Senator YAYI has shown that he stands by his word.”
The Rounda–Olorunda–Imeko Road is one of several development initiatives currently being championed by Senator Adeola as part of his ongoing efforts to drive equitable infrastructure growth across Ogun West.
