Eagle 102.5 FM, Ilese-Ijebu, has emerged as the most-listened-to radio station in Ogun State, recording over 1.5 million daily listeners, according to the latest Media Planning Services (MPS) listenership ratings.
The latest MPS figures placed the station at the top of the radio listenership ranking in the state, a development described by the management of Eagle 102.5 FM as a significant milestone in the station’s journey and a validation of the confidence reposed in the Eagle brand by its growing audience.
Since its inception, Eagle 102.5 FM has operated with the promise of being “Up There With You”, offering its audience quality music, credible journalism, engaging programmes and intelligent conversations on issues affecting the people and communities it serves.
The station’s management attributed the achievement to its commitment to credible journalism, quality entertainment, meaningful conversations and engaging programming.
Commenting on the latest MPS rating, the Chairman of Eagle 102.5 FM, Asiwaju Kunle Kalejaye, SAN, expressed appreciation to the station’s listeners, advertisers, partners, management and staff for their contributions to the achievement.
Kalejaye described the rating as both an honour and a responsibility, noting that the confidence demonstrated by over 1.5 million daily listeners placed a greater obligation on the station to maintain the highest standards of broadcasting.
According to him, Eagle 102.5 FM would continue to invest in quality content, people and technology while remaining responsive to the needs and aspirations of its audience.
Also speaking, the Head of Station, Olakunle Balogun, described the latest rating as a defining moment for the Eagle brand.
Balogun said the achievement reflected the hard work, creativity and commitment of the entire Eagle team, as well as the loyalty of its listeners.
“This is a remarkable milestone for Eagle 102.5 FM. To be recognised as the number one most-listened-to radio station in Ogun State, with over 1.5 million daily listeners, is a huge responsibility,” he said.
He added that the rating demonstrated the confidence of the station’s audience in its content, while also challenging the management and staff to improve on their performance.
Balogun said the station would remain committed to providing credible information, quality entertainment and intelligent conversations while evolving to meet the changing expectations of its audience.
