The Nigeria Police Force has commenced an investigation into popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, over alleged unruly conduct at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the probe follows an official petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), accusing the artiste of engaging in behaviour that allegedly obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft in violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.
The reported incident, which occurred on August 5, 2025, has drawn the attention of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, who directed the Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, to immediately launch a thorough investigation.
Adejobi said the investigation would unravel the circumstances surrounding the “ugly incident” and ensure that justice is served.
He assured the public of the police commitment to safety and security within the aviation sector, while pledging improved collaboration with industry stakeholders to ensure strict compliance with aviation laws.
