Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on Monday, held a private meeting with ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo at the elder statesman’s hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Atiku, who once served as Obasanjo’s deputy, arrived at the meeting alongside former Cross River State Governor, Liyel Imoke, and former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Tambuwal.
While the details of their discussions remained undisclosed at the time of filing this report, the high-profile meeting is coming at a period when opposition leaders are reportedly strategizing ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with a focus on unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
