In a move aimed at boosting investors’ confidence and enhancing estate value, Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited has procured a multimillion-naira road compactor to commence large-scale road development projects across its estates in Ogun State by November 2025.

Speaking with newsmen on Saturday at the firm’s state-of-the-art site office in Kobape, Ogun State, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pelican Valley, Ambassador (Dr) Babatunde Adeyemo, said the company had already mobilised resources and suppliers ahead of the commencement of road works across its four major estates; Pelican Valley Estate, Laderin; Pelican Brief Estate; Pelican Ecostay Apartments; and Pelican Greenish Acres Estate, all located along the Kobape–Abeokuta corridor.

Adeyemo explained that the new equipment would accelerate the pace of infrastructural work and ensure the long-term durability of the estate roads.

He said, “As part of efforts to add value to our estate development, Pelican Valley has procured a multimillion-naira road compactor to commence road infrastructural development in our various estates.

“We have also mobilized our suppliers to supply high-quality stone base materials that will be spread on those roads before deploying the compactor to strengthen them for durability.”

The CEO, who also serves as an anti-corruption ambassador, revealed that the company had spent millions of naira producing interlock stones in readiness for the road construction phase.

According to him, the project reflects the company’s strong commitment to quality and sustainability.

He stated, “After compacting, we will begin laying the interlock stones we have produced gradually over the years. We have spent multiple billions of naira on interlocking production, estate electrification, and government layout approvals, despite generating less than five hundred million naira from clients’ development levies so far.”

Adeyemo assured investors that Pelican Valley would continue to uphold its reputation for transparency and value-driven real estate development. He emphasized that the firm’s priority remains delivering long-term benefits to its clients through sustainable infrastructure.

He said, “We want to assure our clients that we will not relent in making them enjoy high Returns on Investment (RoI). So, we call on all existing clients who are yet to pay their development levies and estate service charges in our various estates to endeavour to pay without further delay.”

Adeyemo also appealed to clients to understand the purpose of the newly introduced estate service charge, which he said was essential to cover the recurrent costs of maintaining estate facilities, including security, gardening, and electrification.

He added, “We have been around the world and seen how city councils work; we can also make this work within our immediate environment.”

“Most of our estates have existed for over ten years, and we have been shouldering the recurrent costs of security guards and gardeners. Now, we believe it is the right time to introduce the estate service charge to sustain the quality of our maintenance.”
