Vice-President Kashim Shettima has departed Johannesburg, South Africa, for Luanda, Angola, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the upcoming AU-EU Summit.
According to a statement by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications in the Office of the Vice President, Shettima left South Africa on Sunday after attending the 20th G20 Summit in Johannesburg.
The 7th AU-EU Summit, scheduled from Monday to Wednesday in Luanda, will bring together African and European Heads of State, young leaders, innovators, and Civil Society Organisations to discuss shared challenges and strategies for sustainable development. Key topics include climate change, infrastructure, the digital economy, manufacturing, agribusiness, and the creative industry.
Nkwocha added that Vice-President Shettima would return to Nigeria at the conclusion of the summit.
