Ibadan, Oyo State – Mrs Ibukun Otesile, the 2025 President of JCI Ibadan Elite, has regained her freedom following her abduction last Thursday in Ibadan.
The release was confirmed by Dr Rosemary Odigbo, President of the Child Protective Network (CPN).
Otesile, a mother of two and daughter of Reverend Lekan Babatunde, founder of Jesus Is King Ministries, was kidnapped outside her home in the Akobo area on the evening of December 4, 2025.
Details surrounding her release, including whether a ransom was paid or security agencies were involved, are yet to be fully disclosed.
Her abduction had triggered widespread appeals from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and other organizations urging the state government and security agencies to secure her safe return.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of her abduction and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
