Abeokuta – In recognition of their remarkable contributions to community development, the Ogun Central Senatorial Community Development Council (CDC) has conferred awards of selfless service to Alhaji Sakirudeen Adebakin, Clerk and Head of Legislative Service in the Ogun State House of Assembly, alongside other distinguished personalities.
The council described the awardees as worthy representatives committed to promoting effective community development across Egbaland.
The awards were presented during the Senatorial Executive meeting held at Kuto, Abeokuta. Senatorial Chairman, Engr. Funsho Ayeni, noted that community development remained a key focus of the awardees, highlighting their consistent efforts over the years at both senatorial and state levels.
While presenting the award to Adebakin, the Grand Patron of the Ogun Central CDC, Alhaji Raimi Bakare, emphasized that the recognition followed a careful review of the recipients’ actions, which had facilitated infrastructural projects and promoted peace and tranquility across the six local government areas of the district.
In his remarks, Alhaji Adebakin expressed gratitude to the council, stating that the award would motivate him to continue contributing to the progress and development of the communities under the council’s purview.
Other recipients included Alhaji Nasiru Bamidele (Obafemi Owode), Oba Phillips Ogunsola (Abeokuta North), Engr. Nathaniel Sodipo (Abeokuta North), Alhaji Bakare Raimi, and Rasaq Ikupoliyi (Abeokuta South).
