Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has called on Christians and Nigerians at large to embrace love, sacrifice and unity as they celebrate this year’s Easter.
In his Easter message, the Ogun State governor described the season as a reminder of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, noting that it reflects hope, redemption and victory over adversity.
Abiodun urged Christians to reflect on the virtues of selflessness, humility, forgiveness and compassion, stressing that such values remain vital to building a peaceful and progressive society.
He also appealed to residents of the state to use the occasion to pray for peace, progress and prosperity in Ogun State and across the country.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to good governance and improving the welfare of the people, assuring that efforts were ongoing to deliver sustainable development.
While wishing Christians a joyful celebration, he encouraged them to remain hopeful and steadfast in faith.
He said, “Easter reminds us that after every trial comes triumph. Let us continue to work together in unity and faith for the collective good of our dear state.”
