The Global President of the Asiwaju Dapo Wahab Foundation, Alhaji Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, and collective responsibility in building a drug-free society.
Wahab made the call in his Easter message to Christian faithful, where he stressed the need for renewed hope and harmonious coexistence among citizens.
He described the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a symbol of hope, renewal, and victory over despair, noting that such values are essential in addressing the challenges confronting communities.
According to him, “The resurrection of Christ offers us a powerful message of hope and a new beginning. Let us channel this message into building a peaceful society and safeguarding our youths from the dangers of drug abuse.”
The foundation president urged Nigerians to reflect the lessons of sacrifice and love associated with Easter by promoting unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence across religious and ethnic lines.
Wahab also raised concerns over the growing menace of substance abuse among youths, warning that it poses a serious threat to societal stability and the future of young people.
He called on families, community leaders, and stakeholders to intensify efforts in sensitisation, prevention, and rehabilitation to curb the trend.
Reaffirming the commitment of his foundation, Wahab said the organisation would continue to support initiatives that promote youth empowerment, community development, and social well-being.
He wished Christians a joyful Easter celebration, urging them to remain steadfast in hope and purpose.
