The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Solomon Adeola, has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and offer prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the nation as Christians celebrate Easter.
In his 2026 Easter message contained in a statement issued on Friday by his Media Adviser, High Chief Kayode Odunaro, Adeola urged citizens to embrace virtues such as sacrifice, patience, love and faith, noting that these values remain essential for national development and unity.
“As you are aware, the incumbent administration of President Tinubu at the national level and all APC-controlled states are implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda which is positioning Nigeria on the right trajectory of positive economic growth and development,” he said.
The lawmaker expressed confidence in the administration’s direction, adding that the President had demonstrated courage in taking decisions aimed at repositioning the country’s economy and addressing security challenges.
He further appealed to Nigerians to support government efforts while contributing in their various capacities toward nation-building, stressing that collective commitment would yield positive results.
Adeola also encouraged citizens to sustain prayers for the country beyond the Easter season, saying, “I call on all to pray for the President during the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and beyond.”
He added that just as the resurrection of Christ symbolises hope and salvation, Nigerians should remain optimistic about the country’s future with hard work and faith.
