Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated Muslims across the state and the nation on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast, describing it as a spiritually enriching period for the country.

Speaking in his Eid-il-Fitri message, Abiodun praised Muslim faithful for their dedication to prayers, supplications, and acts of charity throughout the holy month, emphasizing that their sacrifices and devotion have brought immense spiritual and social benefits to the nation.

“I deeply appreciate the prayers and selfless acts of charity that have been rendered in the last one month. The impact of these spiritual exercises on our country’s moral and social fabric cannot be overemphasized,” he said.

The governor also expressed gratitude to the Muslim community in Ogun State for their unwavering support of his administration and commitment to the state’s progress.

“Your steadfast belief in our vision for a greater Ogun State gives us strength, and I do not take this for granted,” he added.

Acknowledging the economic and security challenges confronting the nation, Abiodun expressed optimism that with continued prayers and concerted efforts by political leaders, Nigeria will witness positive changes.

He assured residents of his administration’s commitment to fostering a prosperous and inclusive society where all citizens can thrive.

“As a government, we remain dedicated to building a state that every citizen will be proud of. Your support, wisdom, and contributions remain invaluable as we move forward together,” he stated.

The governor urged Muslims to use the occasion of Eid-il-Fitri to strengthen bonds of love, unity, and community service, emphasizing that such values are crucial for national progress.

“Eid-il-Fitri is a time for renewal, reflection, and unity. Let us continue to uphold the values of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect as we strive for a better society,” he said.
