Abeokuta: Youths have been urged to prioritize their relationship with God over the pursuit of fame, wealth, and social recognition.
Pastor Kayode Akinsola, Young Adults Pastor of Jubilee Christian Church International, House of Glory Abeokuta, delivered the charge during a vibrant youth gathering at the church auditorium in Isale Abetu, Abeokuta.
Pastor Akinsola noted that the pressures of social media, peer influence, and the chase for material success often divert young people from their divine purpose.
“Your greatest asset is not your popularity, your possessions, or your connections, it is your relationship with God”.
“When you focus on God, every other aspect of your life aligns with His purpose,” he said.
He further encouraged youths to cultivate a consistent prayer life, study the Word diligently, and surround themselves with positive influences that strengthen their faith.
Participants were urged to embrace integrity, hard work, and service as key pillars for a fulfilling life.
The session, which drew a large turnout, featured moments of deep reflection, worship, and renewed commitment, with many attendees describing the message as enlightening and transformative.
Church leaders reiterated their commitment to nurturing young people through mentorship and impactful programs designed to help them thrive spiritually and socially, concluding the event with prayers for the youths and a call to live purposefully with God at the center of their lives.
