Ondo State Police Command has arrested four individuals for allegedly attacking officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and causing damage to their property.
The incident occurred on December 16, 2025, along the Akure–Ipetu Road at the FUTA axis, where FRSC officers, led by Fadimo Abiola, were carrying out their lawful duties.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Kazeem, disclosed in a statement on Thursday that the suspects—Olamiju Olayinka, 28, male; Olamiju Adeseke, 28, female; Olamiju Timileyin, 27, male; and Toheeb Oluwaseun, 32, male—had been charged to court following investigations.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the FRSC officers were violently assaulted and their properties maliciously damaged while discharging their official responsibilities,” Kazeem stated.
Commissioner of Police, CP Adebowale Lawal, condemned the attack, describing it as a “grave affront to constituted authority.” He warned that the command would not tolerate assaults or obstruction against law enforcement officers, adding that offenders would face the full weight of the law.
CP Lawal further urged residents of Ondo State to remain law-abiding and to provide credible information that would help prevent crime and protect lives and property.
