Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola has reaffirmed his support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, assuring that he will continue to complement development efforts at the federal and Ogun State levels through sustained infrastructure and empowerment projects.

Adeola, who chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriations, gave the assurance on Sunday at the grand finale of the Isaga Day 2025 celebration held at Isaga Orile in Ogun State, where he served as chairman of the occasion.

Speaking at the event with the theme, Legacy of Unity and Progress, the senator said his commitment to grassroots development remained unwavering, particularly in areas that promote unity, cultural preservation and socio economic growth.

“I want to reiterate that in all ways possible, I will continue to support our cultural development, particularly when it encourages tourism development and ultimately socio economic development,”

“When properly harnessed and packaged, aspects of our culture can serve as catalysts for community economic growth and the promotion of unity,” Adeola said.

The lawmaker commended Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his policies on security, infrastructure and tourism, describing them as people centred and impactful.

“I salute our dear governor for his support for tourism development through the promotion of festivals across the state.“

“I am also aware that his proactive security policies have resulted in a violence free state and a drastic reduction in criminal activities.”

Adeola further praised the governor for ongoing construction projects across Ogun State, including roads, hospitals, schools and the Gateway Cargo Airport in Iperu, which he described as a flagship aviation project with long term economic benefits.

“There is no doubt that the policies and programmes of our governor complement the Renewed Hope Agenda of Tinubu at the federal level,” he added.

Highlighting his legislative interventions, Adeola disclosed that he had facilitated the completion of about 300 infrastructure projects within two years, cutting across road construction, education, health, security and power supply.

“In over two years, I have facilitated the completion of about 300 infrastructure projects.”

“These include over 115 road projects, 30 twelve classroom school buildings, 32 primary health care centres, modern markets, town halls, ICT centres, police stations and other critical facilities,” he said.

He also listed interventions in the power sector, noting that over 200 transformers and about 250 solar street light projects had been installed, adding that Isaga Orile was among the communities currently benefiting from ongoing repairs and upgrades of major electricity infrastructure.

On empowerment, the senator said more than 50,000 constituents had benefited from skill acquisition programmes, equipment support and cash grants.

“Over 15,000 market men and women received cash grants, while thousands of farmers benefitted from farm inputs and machinery.”

“Students have also received scholarships, bursaries and laptops after skills acquisition training,” he said.

Adeola congratulated the traditional ruler of Isaga Kingdom, Oba Joseph Oladele Olusoji Tella, the Arapapatira II, the Onisaga of Isaga, on his 95th birthday and 35th coronation anniversary, describing his reign as one marked by unity and peaceful development.

“Under your royal leadership, Isaga Orile has witnessed cultural renaissance and peaceful community development.”

“Your efforts in uniting sons and daughters of Isaga Orile across the world are evident in the progress we see today,” he stated.

The senator prayed for the monarch’s long reign and urged indigenes to remain committed to the development of their community.

“I will continue to complement the good works of our dear governor in the interest of our people and in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Adeola added.
