Former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami, SAN, has confirmed that he has received an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and has vowed to comply fully.
In a statement shared on Facebook on Friday, Malami said the disclosure reflects his commitment to transparency and accountability.
He added, “This is to confirm that I have been invited by the EFCC. As a law-abiding and patriotic citizen, I hereby reaffirm my commitment to honour the invitation. I understand the spirit of accountability and transparency in public service – the principles that I both advocate and champion. Rooted in public service and in the spirit of transparency and accountability, I am committed to sharing with the Nigerian public the developments as they unfold.”
The EFCC has not yet provided details about the nature of the invitation. Malami’s statement highlights his readiness to cooperate with the anti-corruption agency while maintaining his long-standing advocacy for integrity and accountability in public service.
