The Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of a soldier who was attacked by a mentally unstable man in the Imota area of Lagos State. The incident, which occurred on November 16, 2025, was captured on video and circulated online, prompting the 81 Division to issue a statement.
Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, said the soldier was part of a team deployed for internal security in the area.
