Ogun State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Abdul-Nojeem Olayinka as the new Auditor-General for Local Governments.
The confirmation followed the adoption of the report of the Committee of the Whole House, presented by Deputy Speaker Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, seconded by Minority Leader Lukman Adeleye, and supported by all members through a voice vote.
Hon. Ajayi explained that the Committee had thoroughly reviewed Olayinka’s curriculum vitae, credentials, and responses during the screening process, concluding that he was suitable for the position.
The Speaker directed that the House approval be communicated to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for the swearing-in of the nominee.

The bill was presented by Hon. Waliu Owode, Chairman of the joint Committees on Agriculture, Lands, and Housing, and later moved for adoption, seconded by Hon. Olusegun Kaka Odunuga.
After being read and adopted clause by clause before the Committee of the Whole House, the Deputy Speaker moved for the third reading, seconded by the Minority Leader, and supported by the entire House.
The Clerk of the House, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, conducted the third reading, while the Speaker directed that the clean copy be forwarded to Governor Abiodun for assent.
