Adeleye stressed the importance of effective time management and continuous capacity development, urging lawmakers to remain focused in order to improve their knowledge and contributions to governance.

“Effective time management is essential for us as lawmakers. We must stay focused and continue to build our capacity to enhance our overall contribution to nation building,” he said.

The resource person, Chief Agboola Adeyemo, Chairman and Chief Executive of Satellite Company Limited, said proper time management enables individuals to achieve more within a shorter period.

According to him, key skills such as prioritising tasks, delegation, multitasking, strategic thinking and proper scheduling are vital to productivity.

“Effective time management allows individuals to accomplish more within a limited time. Planning remains the most reliable technique for achieving productivity,” Adeyemo stated.

He also outlined principles including planning, organising, prioritising tasks, focusing on one activity at a time, avoiding distractions and learning to decline unnecessary engagements.

In his remarks, Hon. Babatunde Tella commended the resource person for what he described as an insightful lecture, while urging lawmakers to make better use of their time.

“We must utilise our time efficiently to enhance productivity, reduce stress and improve the quality of our legislative duties,” he said.

Also speaking, the Chief Whip of the Assembly, Hon. Omolola Bakare, described the seminar as impactful and engaging, urging members to apply the lessons learnt.

“This session has been very beneficial. I encourage all of us to put what we have learnt into practice for better performance,” she added.
