The exercise follows a recent correspondence from the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, forwarding the list of nominees to the Assembly for confirmation.

The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, had earlier announced the full list of nominees across four major commissions in the state.

For the Local Government Service Commission, Olubukunola Olivia Onabanjo has been nominated as Chairman, with Hon. Lukman Olufemi Adiro, Martins Adekoyejo Ijaduoye, Olatunde Azeez Abiodun Osunbiyi, and Olatunde Rasaki Rufai as members.

In the State Teaching Service Commission, Apostle Abiodun Sanyaolu has been nominated as Chairman, alongside Olanrewaju Majekodunmi, Deola Akintonde, Hon. Adeleke Salmon (Sonto), Hon. (Mrs.) Atinuke Bello, and Hon. Kemi Oduwole as members.

The State House of Assembly Service Commission is to be chaired by Rt. Hon. Suraj Ishola Adekunbi, with Samuel Ibidapo Odukoya, Alhaji Fasiu Ajadi, and Hon. Folakemi J. Akintayo as members.

For the Judicial Service Commission, Hon. Justice M. A. Dipeolu was nominated to serve as Chairman, while Hon. Justice Femi-Segun A. Olusola, Mr. Olusina Ogungbade, SAN, Adeyemi Ademuyiwa, Dr. Saheed Oyede, and Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji were listed as members.

“All nominees are expected to appear in person and be punctual for the screening,” the Deputy Clerk stated.

A senior official within the Assembly, who preferred not to be named, described the screening as “a vital constitutional process to ensure the quality, credibility, and readiness of those appointed to serve in the state’s key institutions.”
