The Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has extolled the virtues of Chief Akin Odunsi, describing him as a man of quiet strength, thoughtful leadership, and enduring impact whose contributions have left a lasting imprint on Ogun politics and Nigeria as a whole.
Salako-Oyedele, in a statement commemorating the elder statesman’s 80th birthday, praised his remarkable journey as a successful businessman and political figure whose purposeful commitment has shaped not only his immediate region but the development of Ogun State at large.
“Baba has lived a truly remarkable life. A pioneer in Nigeria’s advertising industry, a boardroom leader who answered the call to public service with clarity and purpose, representing Ogun West with distinction in the 7th National Assembly between 2011 and 2015,” she noted.
The Deputy Governor also acknowledged Senator Odunsi’s invaluable support and wise counsel over the years, describing his fatherly role as a source of strength not just to her, but to many others who have benefitted from his wealth of experience.
