Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his commitment to his public displays of dancing and praising God, insisting that his personal hobby does not interfere with his official duties.
The governor, widely known as the “dancing governor” for his energetic performances at public events, addressed the criticism during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday.
Adeleke, who is seeking re-election in 2026 under the Accord Party, dismissed suggestions that his lively persona could undermine his political standing.
“I will keep dancing because I love to dance, I love to praise my God, and that doesn’t change anything.”
“So, I will still dance, praise my God, and do my work. Everybody has their way of relaxing. My way is to dance and praise my God, that does not affect my work,” Adeleke said.
The governor recently drew attention when he began singing praises before delivering his address at an event, prompting a brief interruption from First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.
The moment sparked mixed reactions online, but Adeleke and Tinubu later described the backlash as unnecessary.
