Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi and representing Ogun West Senatorial District, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Olu of Imasayi-Yewa, Oba Lukman Kuoye, over the passing of his father, Prince (Alhaji) AbdulRafiu Akanbi Kuoye.
The late Prince Kuoye, a respected community elder and devout Muslim, was buried on May 27, 2025, at the private residence of the traditional ruler in Imasayi-Yewa, Ogun State.
In a condolence message released on Saturday, by Chief Kayode Odunaro, the Media Adviser to Senator Adeola Yayi, he described the deceased as “a responsible father, community leader and pious adherent of the Islamic faith,” noting that his demise is a great loss not just to the Kuoye family but to the entire Ogun West and Ogun State.
“In his lifetime, Pa Kuoye touched many lives with his philanthropy and wise counsel at critical times.”
“His death leaves a void in the hearts of many who came to know him for his integrity, faith, and commitment to community service,” Senator Adeola stated.
The senator, who currently chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriations, prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and for strength for the family to bear what he described as “the irreparable loss of a devoted patriarch.”
