The Senator representing Ogun West, Solomon Adeola, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, while calling on Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence amid rising insecurity challenges.
According to a statement released by his Media Adviser, High Chief Kayode Odunaro, Adeola, who chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriations, described Ramadan as a period of spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and devotion, urging adherents to carry its lessons into daily life.
The senator prayed that Almighty Allah would answer the supplications offered during the holy month and that the principles of self-denial, fairness, love, and justice continue to guide interactions among Nigerians.
“As we enter another electioneering period in a few months, let us renew our hope for a secure nation and a prosperous future for all citizens. I am optimistic that the prayers offered during Ramadan will yield positive outcomes,” Adeola stated.
He also called on Muslims and all Nigerians to sustain prayers for peace, stability, and solutions to insecurity plaguing the country.
Adeola stressed that Islam is a religion of peace, love, and kindness, and encouraged citizens to uphold these values to foster unity.
The senator further advised that the virtues associated with Ramadan—tolerance, patience, and righteousness—should remain a consistent way of life, while urging collaboration with government efforts to address social and security challenges.
