Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has arrested a 27-year-old man for vandalizing high tension wires in Ogun State, as part of its ongoing effort to combat crime in the region.
The State Commander, Cmdr. (Dr.) Soji Ganzallo, disclosed in a statement made available by the Director of Information and Public Relations, ACC Adegunwa Adegbuyi, that the arrest occurred on November 24, 2025, around 10am.
According to Ganzallo, “the Divisional Officer of Oke-Odan Division of the Corps, SC David Lucas and his team in a joint patrol with Owode-Yewa Area Command, led by the Area Commander, ACC Saka Akeem, while on routine patrol along Owo Road, sighted the Cosmos in a suspicious manner at Isagbo Ere.”
He added, “On approaching the suspect, he was caught in possession of high tension cables.”
The suspect, an indigene of Benue who works on a farm within the community, confessed during interrogation to committing the crime. Residents of the area and the Baale also testified to his criminal activities prior to the arrest.
Items recovered from Cosmos included high tension cables and a handsaw. Ganzallo noted that “the suspect and recovered items has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Owode Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution.”
The So-Safe Corps continues to urge residents to report any suspicious activities to the authorities to ensure the safety and security of communities across the state.
