Ganzallo said, “At about 9am during a joint routine patrol, our team of Anti-Arms Smuggling and Ipokia Area Command, led by ACC Abdulkareem Abdulrazak and ACC Aliyu Yusuf, received information that some individuals were in possession of a human skull at Isale Odo, Ibatefin.”

He explained that the team immediately proceeded to the location, where the suspects; Alabi Taiwo, Kasimu Amuda, and Adisa Joshua were found with a human skull, white clothes, and a cross screwed to a casket.

During preliminary investigations, Alabi Taiwo confessed, saying, “I dug the grave of a woman buried close to my house at Ibatefin since July 28, 2025, in the early hours. I gave the cranium to Adisa Joshua, a herbalist, intending to sell it to Kasimu Amuda.”

Kasimu Amuda also admitted their involvement in the criminal trade, noting, “We have been in this transaction for a while. I usually buy it at an agreed sum of Fifty Thousand Naira.” Taiwo mentioned a co-conspirator named Hamed, a resident of Badagry, Lagos State, who is still at large.

Ganzallo confirmed that the suspects and the recovered items have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Idiroko Area Command, for further investigation and prosecution.

The Commander commended the officers for their swift response and thanked the community for their trust, promising, “The Corps will use everything in its arsenal to ensure the state is free of crime and its vices.”
