The funeral service for Abisola Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of late former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, was held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David, Trinity Tower, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The emotional ceremony drew dignitaries from across the country, including the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, who shared photos from the solemn occasion on his official X handle, wrote: “Today, I attended the funeral service of late Abisola Kola-Daisi nee Ajimobi. Abisola’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched many, and her absence will be deeply felt. My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they navigate this painful time. May her soul rest in peace.”

Speaker Ogundoyin also expressed his condolences, describing Abisola as a woman of grace and empathy. “I paid my last respects today to the daughter of late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Abisola Kola-Daisi, at the RCCG City of David in Lagos,” he posted on X. “May her gentle soul rest in peace, and may God comfort her family—especially her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and their children during this difficult time.”

He further added, “May we continue to uphold the values of empathy and kindness that Abisola embodied during her lifetime. May her legacy live on through her family. Rest in peace, Abisola.”

The family had earlier announced that a private interment would follow the funeral service.

Abisola Kola-Daisi, aged 44, passed away on March 27, 2025, in London following an illness. She is survived by her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and their three children.

Mourners described her as a beacon of humility and strength, whose life touched many across different walks of life.
